HORN POWDER FLASKS BELIEVED MADE BETWEEN 1750 AND
1800
Description: # 63 $175-- DESIGN - Curved plain horn, circle designs at bottom on both sides. SIZE- 7" curved X 2 3/4" at bottom. RILING FLASK BOOK REFERENCE- #1158 page 400. CONDITION- Good, no splits, possible minor cracks, indentations on both sides- may be original to the horn. Has a wood stopper and wood base. MADE OF- Natural horn and wood. SHAPE- Curved horn. # 144 $125- - DESIGN - Small plain curved horn with a rounded wood bottom. This style was common in the mid to late 1700's. SIZE- 7" curved X 2 1/4" at bottom. No Riling Flask Book Reference found. This is believed to be an "old" home made flask with a rounded wood bottom. CONDITION- Very good. A few minor cracks at the bottom. The top wood plug is missing.MADE OF - Natural horn & wood with an old leather carrying strap.. SHAPE - A curved horn in a style popular in the mid 1700's. Flasks are sold separately. . Seams at bottom are fine. .
