Description:
This is a very good condition Antique Shell style motif Powder Flask with a common top, non-adjustable charger, shell style, design body, front and back, approximately 4 ¼"X 2". The cutter and spring work fine. This is not maker marked but most likely made in Birmingham England. The body is mostly free of real dents, the seams are fine except a tiny gap, about 2" at the bottom, overall it has nice patina with darker spots. This flask is pictured on pg. 288, #319 in Ray Riling in his book "The Powder Flask Book" ;
