Guns International #: 101740471
Seller's Inventory #: AH6623
Six-shot German Army revolver with 7"" barrel. These were in use from 1879-1908 until it was replaced by the Luger. The bore is excellent. The revolver has an English ""Crown V"" proof that indicates a final ""view"" proof after firing. There is a ""3"" on the barrel, cylinder and frame. It is likely that this revolver was refinished to new condition in England and numbered ""3"" by and English importer for resale after WWI. This is a perfect restoration and the blue finish is 100%. The grips have very light handling marks. The ""VCS SUHL"" oval mark for V. Charles Schilling in Suhl is on the left side of the frame. There are no unit markings on the buttcap. This is overall an excellent and unusual revolver.
