High Standard Model HB, second version

This old-timer is a High Standard Model HB, second version in working order. The second version has a safety lever on the left side of the frame. Made in 1948 or 1949. Serial numbers on the slide and frame match. Bright bore; No damage to the breech face from dry firing.  Significant loss of finish on either side of barrel. The grip straps and much of the trigger have loss of finish, fading to a grey patina. Old style magazine. Looks pretty good fconsidering it is nearly 80 years old. Still a nice old shooter.
