Introduction to Driven Bird

Description:
Thursday October 16th, 1pm - 5pm Whether you’re new to driven bird shoots, or looking to improve your technique, come and join us for a fun and instructional 4 hour driven bird clinic! We can make your next shoot more successful with tailored instruction from Griffin & Howe lead shotgun instructor Kevin Sterk. Starting in the classroom, we will cover the fundamentals of driven bird and its requirements, followed by an eye dominance assessment and checking your gun fit to ensure you have the proper dimensions for this shooting discipline. Moving to the flurry field, we’ll go through the importance of footwork, positions and stance, as well as creating your form and swing so you can successfully connect to targets. Finally, you’ll be able to apply what you’ve learned to driven flurries, and practice your timing, footwork, and newly learned techniques. The session culminates with a Q&A session, where participants can share insights and enjoy refreshing drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Itinerary: 1pm – Registration at Shooting Academy, followed by Classroom session 2pm – Shooting at driven bird flurries 4.30pm – Return to Shooting Academy for Q&A, drinks and hors d'oeuvres $525 per person (plus applicable NJ sales tax). All cartridges, clays, drinks and appetizers are included. Dress code: no t-shirts, blue jeans or open-toed shoes please. Cancellation Policy: Must contact us to cancel 10 days prior to class to receive full refund, or 72 hours prior to class to receive a 50% refund (minus credit card processing fees and applicable NJ sales tax). Any cancellations made less than 72 hours before the class date cannot be refunded.
