R J Braverman STINGER Folding Pen Pistol ~ .22LR ~ SCARCE
Description: We are offering for a sale a very scarce R J Braverman STINGER Folding Pen Gun chambered in .22LR caliber. This stainless pen remains in excellent, fully functioning condition and has original nylon weave pouch. 2” barrel is excellent, marked “22 L R”. The bore remains bright and shiny with crisp rifling. The gun folds to make a handle. The trigger functions flawlessly. The body of the “pen” is marked “R J BRAVERMEN CORP / MEREDITH N H”. This gun has serial number B0010XX. Original “Stinger” marked nylon pouch is excellent without wear. PLEASE READ: Most "pen pistols" are what as know as AOW or NFA weapons. For those of you not familiar with this, it means that the transfer and ownership is closely regulated by the BATF. Pen pistols are normally AOW's for the sole reason that they don't look like a gun. The Stinger must be folded before it can be fired. It folds to form a "handle" to grip and even a little trigger drops down. This made it look enough like a gun to have the BATF classify it on June 7th, 1990 as an ordinary pistol. This firearm simply transfers as a normal single-shot pistol. A company named R. J. Braverman created by Bob Braverman designed the gun around 1990. They were originally marketed by American Derringer Co. as a Model 2 "Pen" Pistol from 1993 to 1994. They were later marketed by R. J. Braverman as the Stinger starting in 1995. They later went out of business in 1997. This model would be from that era based on markings and the leather logo on the case. **** PLEASE NOTE: WE ONLY ACCEPT MASTERCARD AND VISA AS PAYMENT OPTIONS (please note we charge a non-negotiable 3% CC fee) **** **** WE TAKE CREDIT CARD PAYMENT OVER THE PHONE.
