Walther PPK Dural PPK-L 1968 .22 caliber complete with box

Description:
This is a hard to find dural lightweight frame version of Walther PPK, made in 1968, chambered in .22LR, with box, manual, cleaning rod, test target and the spare mag. One of the last guns to make it into US before the importation of West German PPKs was banned late that year. Dural(aluminum) frame PPKs made in 1960s represented only a fraction of the total PPK production, and were in its own serial range starting with 500000. The early post-war dural guns were made by Manurhin since about 1955 and were so marked on the slide. In 15 years, only about 5000 of the dural frame guns were made(both with Munurhin and Walther slide legend), out of the total production of over 100000 guns during that time frame. This particular gun is in excellent, near mint, original condition, showing only the edge wear on the front of the slide and some edge wear on the anodized aluminum frame, retaining about 99% of it original finish, as per pictures. The box and the accessories are in comparable excellent condition and the magazines appear unused. The box is correctly marked, but the serial number is only partially visible. The test target is marked "Dural" and .22LR. The serial number on the test target is difficult to read. Bore is mint. Excellent grips with a eagle logo on the right side, only present on the 1968 dated guns. There are no Interarms import marks on the gun, except for a small inter arms stamp on the right grip. A very uncommonly seen version of a post-war PPK, considered by many to be the best finished Walthers of all times. This gun will attain C&R status in 2018.
