Sunday June 1st, 1pm - 5pm * Age 21 and over only * This short-format private clinic gives brand-new women shooters a safe, supportive first trigger-press—then pairs it with an informal wine-and-hors d’œuvres Q&A so they can talk gear, concealment, and next steps without the noise of the firing line. Students rotate through a variety of pistols in 9 mm to discover what fits their hands and firearm preference before making any purchase decision. This is a beginner-level course; we will cover how to operate a semi-automatic handgun safely, consistently demonstrate proper range safety, and develop a good foundation for pistol marksmanship fundamentals. Course Objectives Participants will gain skills and knowledge to: Understand firearm safety Demonstrate safe firearm handling Demonstrate basic shooting fundamentals (stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control) Load, unload, malfunction clearing, and operate a pistol safely Identify and understand the parts of a pistol A practical feel for different pistol sizes & manufacturers A clear roadmap for future training and firearm purchase decisions Prerequisites: No shooting experience required; just closed-toe shoes, government-ID proof of age  (21+), and an open mind. Student Equipment Requirements: Weather-appropriate clothing (hat, sunscreen, gloves, etc.) Notebook and pen (for notes)   $385 (plus applicable NJ sales tax). Includes Nalgene water bottle, rental pistols, ammunition, course certificate, drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Must be 21 or over to attend. Dress code: no blue jeans, t-shirts or open-toed shoes please. Cancellation Policy: Must contact us to cancel 10 days prior to class to receive full refund, or 72 hours prior to class to receive a 50% refund (minus credit card processing fees and applicable NJ sales tax). Any cancellations made less than 72 hours before the class date cannot be refunded.
