This little Spanish .25 cal pistol is one of the best examples of highest quality prewar gold damascene engraving you would find. The detail of the work is absolutely incredible, made on special order by one of the Spanish gold damascening artisans of long gone era. This type of work was made by scoring various floral and geometric patterns into metal and the filling it with thin layers of gold of different colors by hammering it into the patterns. The highest quality damascening produces very detailed miniature patterns like the ones present on this pistol. The gun retains nearly 99% of its finish with minor loss of color on the safety lever and in the top of the muzzle. Some of the gold wash is also missing from the magazine from insertional wear.
MOP grips are beautiful and without defects. Original box is velvet lined, marked in gold lettering "Pistola BUFALO" inside and is in excellent condition as well. 
This is a true work of art worthy of museum or of a very advanced collection of engraved pistols.
