Chinese Arsenal, Austrian Tom, .32ACP, RUS, PCA-165
Description: Some of the pistols that the Chinese copied during the Warlord Era were extraordinary, both as mechanical hybrids and in terms of their markings. This pistol is a fairly close copy of the Austrian Tom, this one a SA/DA blowback in 7.65mm (.32 ACP) but with crazy references to many countries that armed the Chinese during their conflict. Of course, most references are misspelled. There is “Danton” (reference to Spanish Gabilondo trademark on the left side of slide) and several references to Russia (left tang and right side of the slide) though of course the references are misspelled with English rather then Cyrillic lettering. You have to love the “WADE IM RUSSIA” marking. Wood panels with large brass escutcheons. Bottom magazine release, the unmarked magazine having 8 transverse indicator holes and an enclosed floorplate. This EXACT pistol pictured in “Pistols of the Warlords” text by Ian McCollum on pages 470-471. Synopsis: Incredible Chinese Arsenal, Austrian Tom, Spanish Danton, Russian, Documented, .32ACP, RUS, PCA-165 Condition: Retains most of it’s later nickled finish with dried grease in many of the protected areas. Dull bore with easily discernible rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. An extremely unusual copy with hilarious but era-understandable markings, pictured in a widely distributed book. NOT TO BE FIRED!! NOT TO BE FIRED!! NOT TO BE FIRED!! ~~Insured shipping fee of $65; most packages shipped using FedEx 2nd Day.~~ SOLD Manufacturer: Chinese Arsenal Serial Number: RUS Caliber Info: 0.32 |
