The Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless is a compact, semi-automatic pistol designed by John Browning and manufactured by Colt‚s Manufacturing Company from 1903 until 1945. Chambered in .32 ACP (also known as 7.65mm Browning), it became one of the most successful and widely carried pocket pistols of the early 20th century.

Despite its name, the pistol is not truly \"hammerless\"; its hammer is concealed beneath the rear of the slide, giving it a smooth profile that reduces snagging when drawn from a pocket or holster. The pistol operates on a simple blowback, single-action system and feeds from an 8-round detachable magazine. It incorporates several safety features, including a grip safety and manual thumb safety, with later models adding a magazine safety.

The Model 1903 measures approximately 6.75 inches in length, weighs about 24 ounces unloaded, and features fixed sights. Its slim design, reliability, and mild recoil made it popular among civilians, law enforcement officers, military personnel, and notable historical figures. More than 500,000 were produced during its service life.
