The Dreyse Model 1907 is an unconventional, early German semi-automatic pistol chambered in .32 ACP (7.65mm Browning). Designed by the famous small arms engineer Louis Schmeisser, it was produced from 1907 until 1915 by Rheinische Metallwaren & Maschinenfabrik Sömmerda. The weapon was named after Nikolaus von Dreyse, the legendary inventor of the 19th-century Dreyse Needle Gun. It saw widespread service with the Imperial German Army during World War I, police forces, and was used through World War II
