I purchased this python in the mid '70s as used, it hasn't been fired since the '70s. The barrel is in real good condition. The blueing is also very good with some holster wear near the end of the barrel and the ejector rod housing. There is a small gouge on the ejector rod housing which was there when I purchased it. There is some patina showing on the front ramp sight but not any on the gun. When I purchased the gun I had trigger work done as well as having the hammer jeweled. The sights were replaced with the original lumi- sight invented by the gunsmith that installed them the front sight still glows in the dark. This sight was invented for law enforcement use before big gun manufacturers started putting orange sights on their guns. It come with pachmyer grips for better concealment as well as the original walnut grips.
