1913 Colt Model 1902 Military chambered in 38 ACP with a 6 inch barrel and factory original high polish charcoal blue finish. Per the included Colt archive letter it was shipped to St. Louis Missouri, August 2, 1913. This was the last year for the charcoal/fire blue finish before they changed over to oven blue in 1914. This is a very high condition all original survivor. The finish still retains a dark black mirror shine throughout. The fire blue small parts are brilliant. The color casing on the hammer is very strong. As seen in the photos there are various areas of light and scattered handling but no real major detractions. It should also be mentioned the leading edges are very sharp in the group straps are exceptional. Overall the finish rates 97%. The boareis mostly bright with strong lands and grooves. It has a few small areas of patchy frost. Overall it rates an 8 out of 10. The slide to frame fit is tight with zero wiggle. The chamber area is very clean. The grips are in excellent condition throughout. This 110-year-old pistol will be tough to upgrade.
