Caspian Custom 1911 – .38 Super – Stainless – 5" Barrel
I am the original owner of this custom Caspian 1911 chambered in .38 Super. The pistol was built on a stainless steel Caspian frame with a 5-inch barrel and has seen very little use—approximately 120 rounds fired since new.
It features a light competition-style trigger, adjustable rear sight, fiber-optic front sight, and aggressive G10 Gunner grips. Included with the sale are four magazines, a padded zippered pistol case, and approximately 120 rounds of .38 Super ammunition, where legally permissible and practical to transfer.
The pistol has always been stored properly and has been used very little.
Condition
I want to describe this pistol as accurately and honestly as possible.
The stainless steel frame has a few cosmetic scratches that occurred during trigger work. They do not affect the function of the pistol, and because the frame has a satin stainless finish, they could likely be improved with polishing if the new owner chooses.
The slide finish was never done well when the pistol was originally built. It has always been purely a cosmetic issue and has never affected the operation of the firearm. My intention was to have the slide professionally refinished, but I simply haven't had the time and have decided to sell the pistol as-is instead. The asking price reflects this cosmetic condition.
The pistol also has intermittent feeding issues that I have chosen not to diagnose or repair. It may require magazine tuning, ammunition selection, or other adjustment. Rather than speculate, I prefer to disclose this openly so the buyer knows exactly what they're purchasing. This has also been reflected in the asking price.
I'm simply reducing my collection and would rather see this pistol go to someone who will appreciate it than have it continue to sit in my safe.
