Colt 1911 Government Model Pre War

Description:
Colt 1911 Government Model Ser # C 149871 mfg. in 1926 45 acp Stag grips Engraved by J.R.French Master engraver in 1967. The slide is numbered to the gun.This piece is engraved and silver plated,The engravers name in tiny engraves letters and date under the grip. The silver finish has been handled and a percentage ? has been worn off. still looks great but some of the piece is in the white and cleaned and polished to match . under the slide is blackish inside do to silverr going black with age.The grips are real stag, the barrel is unmarked as it should be. The barrel and the correct magazine are in the white as well. The bore is very good and the mechanics are perfect with a very nice trigger pull making it a good shooter. All the parts are correct for its vintage, A great looking gun for being 97 years old and still a functioning as new. Comes with a colt factory letter , shipped to Shapleigh Hardware ,St. Louis Missouri april 23 1928. (Price Reduced) Need a FFL or C+R to purchase. Call with any questions Tom 612 859 5673
