This is a Colt Commercial Government Model 1911 in 45ACP, early built in 1917. This pistol features a 5” barrel, hardwood grips, manual safety, smooth straight backstrap, and TWO magazine. It is in very good HONEST ORIGINAL condition with original finish remaining and a light gray patina over some of the metal surface as shown, no rust or pitting .All stampings as sharp and easily seen with the naked eye. The barrel is only marked with "P" , no other stampings visible, frame and slide have typical stampings as shown. The bore is bright with strong rifling and the action of the pistol is very smooth. The slide to frame fit is snug with little to no wiggle. Overall an excellent example of one of the most iconic pistols ever made! C&R OK, LAYAWAY with 20% down and 90 days terms.
