1912 Colt 1911 Navy. This is a 100% original survivor that has not been altered in any way. It bears the correct Walter G. Penfield inspection mark. It has the correct vertical H breach faced stamp on the barrel. It has the correct early rounded rear sight. All of the small parts have the correct smoke blue finish. It has the correct keyhole magazine. The original finish is in high condition for a first year Navy with none of the normal corrosion found on these saltwater exposed pistols. As seen in the photos most of the original brushed blue finish remains dark and shiny. There are various areas of wear scattered in the finish. It should also be noted that the grip straps are way above average. Overall the finish rates about 88%. The bore is mostly bright with strong lands and grooves. There are a few areas of light and sacttered patch frost. The bore rates an 8 out of 10. The slide to frame fit is tight with zero wiggle. The trigger has a crisp clean break to it. The grips remain in excellent condition with sharp checkers throughout. I have additional photos of all of the internals that I can email as well. This Navy will be tough to upgrade.
