Description:
The Smith & Wesson SW1911 E-Series Semi-Auto Pistol uses the same John Browning design as the standard-issue .45 caliber M1911 sidearm used by the United States Armed Forces from 1911 to 1985, tough with modern features you would only expect on a custom gun. Smith & Wesson added deep fish-scale scallops on the front and rear gripping surfaces of the stainless steel slide to provide an aggressive non-slip grip for manual cycling. The frontstrap of the grip frame and the mainspring housing are also aggressively checkered for a secure grasp, and the top of the slide is full-length grooved with S&W's classic revolver barrel-rib pattern. The wooden grip panels are figured with an attractive fish-scale pattern that matches the slide-grip surfaces. The pistol has very subtle and finely detailed engraving that the pictures don't capture the true beauty of.

This example has a very low round count. The primary owner shot a box of 50 rounds and put it away in the safe. Since I purchaed from him it has not been fired, and it has been stored in a climate controlled safe. There are no visible signs of wear on the gun. The pistol comes with a beautiful engraved wooden display case (some superficial sctratches on top), paperwork, lock, and two magazines.
