Iconic 10mm Bren Ten W/Very Rare .45 Conversion Slide
SALE PENDING
Description:
This is an original example of the iconic 10mm Bren Ten, as made famous by its hero usage in the 80s show, Miami Vice. The Bren Ten design was first developed under the working name “Combat Service Pistol 80” as a .45 caliber alternative to the vintage 1911A1. It was the first pistol designed specifically for the 10mm cartridge, and would soon lead to the birth of several competitors such as the Colt Delta Elite and the S&W 1006. The FBI would also later take an interest in the 10mm, having decided that they needed greater firepower in the aftermath of the 1986 Miami Shootout Incident. Though short lived, the Bren Ten had a massive impact on the modern sporting and defensive handgun market.
This particular example is one of the more "common" 10mm variants (though still very rare), but comes with an ultra rare .45 conversion slide/barrel. The pistol shows light use, with very minor high edge wear and a tiny bit of oxidation on the slide. Strong bore with a little frost in the grooves. Comes with original Dornaus & Dixon marked box. The listing includes a total of five magazines. Three are clearly marked for '10mm', the other two are not marked with caliber designation.
