This Essex Model 1911 remains in very good overall condition. Gun has an Essex Arms Corp. (Island Pond VT) frame and a Remington Rand (Syracuse NY) slide. Gun shows some light scratches and wear with some discoloring part way down the slide. Function appears good. Plastic grips are in excellent condition and bore is excellent. Gun also contains a Colt "C-R" stamped magazine. We don't have a clue who put together such a hodgepodge of 1911 parts, however it remains affordable and unique. Cool 1911. .45 ACP
