This example is a Union Switch & Signal (US&S) Model 1911-A1 in 45 ACP. The left side of the slide is marked with a "USS" logo and "U.S. & S. CO. / SWISSVALE, PA. U.S.A.". The left side of the frame is marked with a circled "R.C.D." above the magazine release, and a "P" acceptance proof below the magazine release. The right side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY / No 1057945" and "M 1911A1 U.S. ARMY". There is another "P" on the top of the slide in front of the rear sight. Left side of barrel lug has a "P" and right side has an "HS". The "P" stamp indicates it was proofed, and the "HS" signifies that the barrel was manufactured by High Standard for Union Switch and Signal. The magazine is marked on the top toe with an "A" for (American Pin Company). The magazine no rust or dents.The front sight is a short-serrated ramp blade and the rear is a dovetailed square notch.
