WW2 US Model 1911A1 Pistol by Colt (Remington Rand Slide)
Description: Serial #1709699, .45 ACP, 5" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves. This pistol has a 1944-1945 made Colt frame mated to a Remington Rand slide with a correct Colt-made barrel. The slide retains 85-90% of the original parkerized finish, with silvering along the exposed edges, and spots of mild freckling along the top radius and right side. The "GHD" inspected frame retains about 75-80% of the original parkerizing, with further fading and silvering along the edges and projections, as well as additional spots of mild surface freckling on the frontstrap and exterior of the trigger guard bow. The checkered resin grips are in very good-fine shape with only minor handling marks and some light flattening of the points. A single unmarked magazine is included. This is a very good-fine WW2 Model 1911A1 pistol overall. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
