The FN Five-Seven was developed to enhance police and military facing Kevlar vests. It has made its way into the mainstream through some 40 nations' Military and Police, including the US Secret Service, and also many pieces of literature. They remain popular due to their rifle-like velocities, over 2100 FPS, as well as the inherent range limitation due to the light weight (20 grain) bullets. The risk of collateral damage is significantly reduced due to range limits as well as reduced likelihood of ricochets. This one appears to have been fired a bit as there is an evident set-back ring around the firing pin, but otherwise there is no evidence of use. This is a short-range, one-handed varmint gun, ready for all kinds of pest control, target shooting, and all-around carry. 5.7X28mm
