Attractive all original and all matching WWI DWM Artillery Luger, Chamber dated 1918, late production without the fine tuned front/rear sight option.
Description:
Standard configuration DWM Artillery Luger from WWI, made 1918, with drift adjustable front and elevation-only rear sight graduated 1-8. Chamber dated 1918 with intertwined DWM on middle toggle link. Usual proofs on right side of barrel extension. Full serial number on forward frame and under barrel with serial number on left side of barrel extension. Last two digits on all usual small parts excluding both grips that have inspection markings but no number and magazine that is number 795a+.
Condition:
Approximately 90-95% original rust blue with wear and oxidative drifting in the usual sharp edge, high point location, particularly over the hump and edges of the sideplate. Comparable condition strawed parts with thinning and oxidative flecking, showing no suggestion of enhancement. Oil darkened grips with blunted diamonds and a few minor losses. G condition era correct magazine with oil darkened plug. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics. A nicely presenting and entirely original late WWI Artillery Luger with just enough wear to comfortably take to the range!
