French MAC Model 1950 Rig

This is a nice example of a French MAC Model 1950 rig, manufactured and issued to the French military in the 1950's. This one has an early "B" prefix serial number - one of the first 20,000 made. These guns are rare and highly sought-after among collectors. It's easy to see why - the gun has a really nice action and feels great in the hand. This one is all matching and has a "France" export mark on the right side of the frame. It has only retained about 10% of its original parkerized finish, mostly visible on the small parts and in the crevices. It appears that someone stripped the finish on most of the gun down to bare metal and polished it. There is spotty oxidation throughout. Comes with period-correct grips and a proper magazine. There are handling marks on the grips throughout and a few minor chips here and there. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn, and there is minor pitting throughout. Comes with a period-correct canvas holster.
