Heckler & Koch VP 70Z Pistol 9mm Parabellum w/Original Box
Description: The VP70 was the world’s first polymer-framed pistol, predating the Glock 17 by around ten years. Despite this, it was overall not a success. Indeed, it would largely have been forgotten if not for its appearance in the videogame Resident Evil 2 in the 1990s and it recent remake (2019). It starred as the pistol of rookie cop Leon Kennedy, one of the two primary characters of the story. His pistol was the military/law enforcement-only VP70M version, which when fitted with the VP70M shoulder stock, transformed the pistol into a 3-round burst machine pistol. The VP70Z was built by H&K for the civilian market. Like the VP70M, standard magazine capacity is 18 rounds, one more than the Glock 17. The VP70 uses a fixed barrel like the Walther PP/PPK, CZ 50/70, and Makarov pistols. The main complaint with the VP70 by some was the heavy trigger pull. It should be remembered that the VP70 was intended for German police who commonly carry double action pistols with heavy first trigger pulls, the Walther PP and PPK being good examples. This VP70Z is in excellent condition. There is minor wear on the front sight, but the rest of the pistol’s finish is in near mint condition. The bore is nearly spotless. It comes with its original H&K box. SOLD Manufacturer: Heckler & Koch, G.m.b.H.
