High Original Condition Mauser P38 Dual-Tone Pistol, Made in late 1944, All Matching with Mirror Bore and a Spare Magazine.
Description:
Standard configuration Mauser P38 made in 1944/January 1945 with Dual-Tone finish: major and most minor components phosphated, the barrel and trigger are blued. The left side of the slide is marked with the model, byf/44 code, and full SN that is repeated under the barrel, on the left side of the frame, and the last three digits on the locking block. Right side of slide with usual inspection/test proofs. Lightly marked SSN on right frame under grip. Standard black plastic grips and a Walther WaA359 accepted magazine. Spare magazine is blued, marked "P38" on the left side, and "jvd" with WaA706 acceptance on spine.
Condition:
Near EXC original phosphate/blued finish with very light holster wear in expected locations. Comparable condition slide cover and frontstrap. Grips with scratches and bruises along leading edge as imaged. Walther magazine with considerable fading; "jvd" magazine is EXC. Mirror bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics with both magazines. A high condition example of a Mauser Dual-Tone P38 assembled in late 1944/January 1945 with a spare magazine!
