Standard configuration SIG SAUER P220 SA/DA semi-automatic pistol designed in 1975 as a replacement for the SIG P210, cal. 9mmP with 4.4-inch barrel, SN: G105654, with black finish. Fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight with white highlights. Left side of slide marked "SIG SAUER". "9mm Para" on chamber of barrel. The right side of the slide is marked with the serial number "G105654" followed by model designation "P220". Frame serial number G105654 is repeated in the grip area. Fitted with black checkered grips. Unmarked magazine with 8 cartridge indicator holes and zippered spine. Complete with original blue cardboard shipping box with matching end label sticker along with instruction manual. The P220 was produced through a partnership between SIG and J.P. Sauer & Sohn of Germany and was the first SIG Sauer handgun sold in the United States, initially marketed by Browning as the Browning BDA.
Condition:
The pistol presents as virtually new. There is no sharp edge wear or areas of thinning. The few marks on the barrel hood reflect normal safety checks. Comparable condition grips, screws, magazine, and instruction booklet. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. The box shell is near excellent, the gray foam liner, crumbling/disintegrating after so many years, has been removed. If you are a serious Sig Sauer pistol collector, this early example would be nearly impossible to upgrade!
