Antique 1770s Jackson of Tenterden English Flintlock Pistols Revolutionary War Era Cased Matching Pistols
Description: Antique 1770s Jackson of Tenterden English Flintlock Pistols Revolutionary War Era Cased Matching Pistols Here we present an antique pair of cased, matching Jackson Flintlock Pistols, made circa 1770s in Tenterden, England, just southeast of London. The maker, Owen Jackson, was quite handy as a watchmaker, silversmith and gunsmith. Some of his other work dates back to 1770. These are two very well-appointed pistols. They were hand-made and made to match. It is quite incredible that they have been passed down together for so many years. Each state that they were made in Tenterden on the right side of the frame, and each state their maker’s name “Jackson” on the left. Each of them has a turn-off barrel for loading. Each feature very nice engraving, as well as wire inlaid wood stocks with silver initial plates. Each of the actions is still very functional with strong springs. These would make fantastic shooters for those of you who would dare. The box is an excellent home for these two pistols. It is full wooden construction and features a carved eagle on the top of the lid. This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 3.75 inches in length. Caliber: .44 Bore is in good condition. The firing mechanism is excellent. Overall condition as seen in photos. Here are two excellent Revolutionary War period flintlock pistols just waiting to be put on display. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns #21398 SOLD Antique: Yes |
