This is an Aston Model 1842 smoothbore percussion pistol in .54 Caliber Black Powder. This pistol is dated 1849 on the sideplate with "NN" above it. "SK" is stamped on the top of the barrerl at the breech. A screw on the barrel band extension may be a replacement.The barrel and ramrod are Good with some minor pitting. The brass parts are Very Good. The stock has a crack on the left side behind the breech.
