FRENCH Antique ST. ETIENNE Model 1822/42 T-Bis Conversion MILITARY Pistol
Flintlock to Percussion & “1864” Dated
Description: FRENCH Antique ST. ETIENNE Model 1822/42 T-Bis Conversion MILITARY Pistol Flintlock to Percussion & “1864” Dated Here we present an antique French Model 1822 T-Bis Military Pistol, made circa the 1820s and converted circa 1864 at the armory at French State Arsenal St. Etienne. The arsenal produced arms such as swords from medieval times to 1764 and became a primary French firearms production facility. It produced arms all the way through the World Wars and finally closed in 2001. This pistol was used by cavalry and marines alike. This pistol is very likely to have seen action in any of France’s many colonies during this period. Other significant conflicts include the Second French Intervention in Mexico as well as the Franco-Prussian War. The pistol is of robust construction with lots of brass for support. The bore is a substantial .69 caliber. The overall condition is good. Excellent action. Dim and clear, rifled bore. Excellent stock/grip with low handling wear. Numbers match (675). “1864” dated barrel. Sharp legible markings. “1822” is marked on the barrel tang. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 7-1/4 inches. Caliber: .69 Percussion Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1300 #217715 SOLD Antique: Yes |
