"This is a nice looking French Gendarme Model an 9 flintlock pistol. The overall length is approx. 10"". The 5"" round 60 caliber barrel has a fine smooth bore with very light roughness. All the metal parts are cleaned bright with light spotting and discoloration. The barrel has no markings. The barrel tang is marked M an 9 (Model Year 9). The lock is lightly marked Maubeuge Manufr. Imple (Imperial Manufactory of Maubeuge). The stock is good with sharp edges, no chips or cracks, and an L carved on the left flat. It is equipped with the correct ramrod. With the exception that the hammer can be released with a trigger pull at half cock, the action functions correctly. This is a nice looking French an 9 Gendarme flintlock pistol. AUSTIN LOCATION.
