"These were supplied from merchants and not from ordnance, thus they are often called the 1813 Indian Contract pistols. Barrel measures 9"" in length and is marked with a crown over ""GR"" and broad arrow as well as a Tower crossed scepters acceptance stamp. Metal has a dark brown to almost black patina. Action works well. This is a gun you do not come across often!
