Military issued US Marshal with sharp inspector cartouches on the left side of the stock and the inspector US/JH stamp on barrel top at the breech end.  The lock is marked “A. Waters/Milbury MS/1842”.  The Model 1836 was used in the Mexican War and later in the Civil War. The 8-½ barrel has a good bore, mostly clean with light rust.  Metal surfaces are a gray/brown patina with some pin prick pitting.  The walnut grip/stock is in good condition showing dings and scratches having no cracks.  Pistol has the swivel style ram rod. The action works perfectly and is very solid.  Honoring 3 day buyer inspection.
