Very Nice British Flintlock Turn-Off Pistol by M&L Bourn

Description:
NSN, 45 Caliber, 2 1/4" barrel with a very good, lightly freckled bore. This is a handsome little, box frame pistol that has floral scrollwork engraving with geometric borders on the sides, as well as a retailer’s name in a riband on the left: "M & L BOURN [sic]." The metal has an overall dark gray patina, with some mottled freckling along the barrel and tip of the lower grip tang. The bag-shaped walnut grip has delicate silver wire inlays, and is in good shape, although there is a bruise on the right side that has been partially repaired with resin. The pistol was never fitted with a sliding safety, and the action is fully functional, locking firmly at both half and full-cock. This is a handsome little pistol and is in good-near very good condition overall. Antique;
