British Pattern 1861 India Pistol. 8” Barrel. Tail of lock has a crown over “EIG” mark. Lock marked “Birmingham 1869”. No barrel proofs, no stock cartouches and neither were ever marked on these late made pistols. After WWII many were found in excellent condition in a warehouse. It is thought that the advent of revolvers made these late percussion pistols obsolete. Excellent condition with captive ramrod.
