"Beautiful Cased Pair of Christian Ludwig Von Der Fecht Pistols in Vertical Case (AH9024)
Description: "NSN. Made early 1800. 46 caliber with 8.5" barrels. This pair was originally in flint lock and converted to percussion. The barrels have been refinished. They have silver bands and the makers name is inlaid in script in silver. The wood is beautifully checkered and the stocks have silver wire inlay. This pair originally had a stock or stocks as there is a female plate on the back of the grip area. All of the furniture is nicely engraved. The case is of the period, but we do not believe it is original to this pair of guns. It was probably made for the pair after the separation of the stock.
