"Beautiful Percussion Target Pistol By A. Jansen (AH6325)

"

Adolphe Jansen of Brussels, Belgium worked in 1860-1870 and was a Arque Busier (gun maker) du Roi (to the king ) inscribed on top of barrel flat. Caliber is .45. Bore has very strong rifling and is bright and excellent. Barrel is 9.5"" from muzzle to breech plug and is 16"" overall. The metal parts, excluding the barrel is beautifully engraved and is in the bright with a contrasting black background; which really brings out the beauty of the engraving. The stock is a wood carvers masterpiece. The depth and superior caving is as good as one can find. The lock is signed Jansen. A work of art!
