NSN, circa 1839, 60 caliber, 5.5"" round proofed barrel. Barrel and other iron parts have been lightly cleaned with pin-prick oxidation noted. Barrel tang is marked ""M""1837"",Lock plate is marked ""MRE Rle de Chatallerault"". Stock does show usage and handling wear with expected nicks and dings visible.
