English over/under percussion pistol with rotating barrels. Pistol was manufactured by Venables of Oxford. Caliber is approximately .45 for both barrels. Barrel is 3.25"" and overall length is 7.5"". One barrel is marked ""Venables"" the other is marked ""Oxford"". Frame and trigger guard are very well engraved with scroll/ broad leaf. Barrels rotate simply by putting hammer in half cock and rotating the barrels counter clockwise. An interesting feature is a small tap at the front of the trigger guard bow which serves to prevent the percussion cap from accidental discharge or loss of the cap. Pistol is very good overall. An interesting self defense pistol of good quality.
