ENGRAVED Antique “KENTUCKY” Self Defense American Pistol w/BRASS FURNITURE
Mid-1800s AMERICAN .52 Caliber PERCUSSION Pistol
Description: ENGRAVED Antique “KENTUCKY” Self Defense American Pistol w/BRASS FURNITURE Mid-1800s AMERICAN .52 Caliber PERCUSSION Pistol Here we present antique American “Kentucky” Style Percussion Pistol, manufactured in the mid-19th Century. The “Kentucky” was a popular pistol for the early American Pioneers and early 19th Century Explorers. The “Kentucky” was made famous during the battle of New Orleans and favored by Davey Crockett. It was a favorite because of its one piece stock with superb balance and features like a bird’s head grip, fixed sight, and brass ramrod thimbles. It was likely made primarily for self-defense, especially in cities or traveling around the countryside. This pistol is large enough to make someone think twice before bothering the carrier. The brass furniture is lightly engraved with a scroll motif. The hardwood stock has an attractive finish, which is both practical and aesthetically pleasing. The overall condition is good. Strong action. Good bore for its age. The barrel has been filed and reshaped. Refinished to brown. Solid wood, some stable cracks, and a nice refinish. Lightly engraved. The trigger guard is slightly bent, but does not impede function. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 9-3/8 inches. Caliber: .52 Percussion Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1800 #250652 SOLD Antique: Yes |
