GAME SCENE ENGRAVED Antique PERCUSSION .36 Self Defense COAT/BELT Pistol
Mid-19th Century Carry Gun
Description: GAME SCENE ENGRAVED Antique PERCUSSION .36 Self Defense COAT/BELT Pistol Mid-19th Century Carry Gun Here we present an antique Percussion Pistol, made circa the 1850s. This type of pistol was very popular from the 18th and well into the 19th Centuries in the United States, as well as overseas. They were of course made primarily for self-defense, especially in cities or traveling around the countryside. This self-defense pistol would have been most at home tucked into one’s belt or in the coat pocket of anyone in a busy city like New York or Philadelphia during the tumultuous times of the mid-1800s. As mentioned, this was of course made primarily for self-defense, and very well would tell stories if it could. Much happened in the United States and abroad during this period. Its gaping .50 caliber bore would have been quite the shock for the ne’er do wells roaming the big city streets. The overall condition is good. Fully functioning action. The set trigger screw is missing. This example maintains a good bore. The grip has period brass plate repairs. The wood has been refinished. Lightly engraved lock and hammer. The brown patina is evenly aged. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 5-3/4 inches. Caliber: .36 Percussion Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1200 #233549 SOLD Antique: Yes |
