Description: SUPERIOR TOWER PATTERN 1853 PERCUSSION COAST GUARD AND SEA SERVICE PISTOL. 12” overall with 6” smoothbore .65 cal. barrel with Royal Ordnance Proofs at the breech. Lock with perfect “CROWN/BROAD ARROW” and “TOWER/1853” stamps. “CROWN/VR” Royal Cypher stamp to the rear of the hammer. Walnut stock with excellent inspectors stamps and assemblers marks (Turner, Terry). Perfect “BROAD ARROW/BO” Board of Ordnance stamp.All original and with 90% plus original blue finish. Stock with all the finish as well. Beautiful unpolished brass mounts. Original lanyard swivel and stirrup ramrod. Only a few thousand made.
