Description:
W.W.Marston Single Shot Breech .36 caliber pistol. Single action pistol, full octagon barrel 8 ½” long. Barrel is marked “W.W.Marston, Patented 1850. New York.” We can find examples of half round/half octagon Marston but no example of a full octagon barrel! Bore is very good. Action works perfectly. Barrel markings are clear and legible - Serial number 521. Barrel has very good blue. Frame has lost its case colors and is now a smooth even patina. Grips are very good. Rare long barrel Iron frame! Note: This pistol is a breech loader opened by lever behind the trigger guard. Cartridge is a special leather and paper board cartridge, ignited by percussion Cap. (Sorry No Cartridges available)
