These large Model 1846 62 caliber percussion pistols were made in Belgium for Denmark. The overall length is approx. 16"". The 10.25"" round 62 caliber smooth bore barrel has a fine bore. The barrel has a brass blade front sight. The block rear sight is part of the barrel tang. The barrel is marked BELGIUM on top. Next to the bolster is an inspection mark over a crown over K over 1846 over 721. The left side of the barrel at the breech is marked OBN. The barrel is a mix of brown and bright. The lock is marked with a crown over K over 1846 over 721 with an unreadable inspectors mark to the rear. The barrel and hammer are a smooth gray-brown. The brass nose cap trigger guard (numbered 721) and butt cap (numbered 721) have a smooth age patina. The stock is good with a repaired break through the wrist and light usage marks. The action functions correctly. Don't miss this interesting pistol.
