Barrel is marked JD, P, U.S., and SNY (tiny letters) for State of New York (Militia)? Lock has the eagle, S. North and partial address Middtn. Conn. This pistol in our opinion is a reconversion. Overall, this old soldier is in pretty good shape. Barrel has some pits. Stock is solid. No chips, no cracks. Captive ramrod appears original to the pistol.
