U.S. Model 1842 .54 caliber smoothbore percussion pistol by H. Aston & Co. in great condition. Metal is in the bright to a grey patina with pin-prick oxidation noted in some areas. Action has a tight lock up. Wood is good with handsome cartouches. Barrel and lock dated 1851.
