French Gentleman's 19th Cent. Belt Pistol
Description: A quality 19th Century French/English long barrel octagonal London marked 8" , with.60 cal.smooth bore, with a chisel engraved back action lock,that works well. The European walnut stock is clean and has sharp,fine, hand checkering, with a silver shell door for caps, and what appears to be a touch-mark/proof on the inside of the door.. The barrel has sharp damascus pattern and may be applied, with one patch of corrosion on the right side close to the muzzle. Measuring overall about 12 1/2" long and the trigger guard, hamer, and barrel tang are chisel engraved also..Having a strong. ruggd brass ram-rod also.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
