A Very Early & Scarce Pre Civil War Smith & Wesson Lever Action Repeating "Model No.1" Pistol
Description: A Very Early & Scarce Pre Civil War Smith & Wesson Lever Action Repeating "Model No.1" Pistol In Very Nice Untouched Condition. Serial # 29, all matching numbers. All original and complete. Only 1200 of this model was made from 1854-1855. Made in Norwich Connecticut. The pistol has very nice metal, markings, factory engraving, and edges. The engraving is fine throughout. It is marked on the top of the barrel, "SMITH & WESSON/NORWICH, CT." One side is marked, "PATENT/FEB.14 1854" & the other is marked "CAST STEEL". All of the metal on the gun has a very untouched and natural dark patina throughout it. All screws are very nice and have the same patina. The original grips are very nice throughout and are numbered to the pistol inside. The pistol has a nice action and good bore. Everything on it operates correctly. This is A Very Desirable And Scarce Early Smith & Wesson Lever Action Repeating "Model No.1" Pistol In Very Nice Condition.
